Privacy Policy

Motto Europa BV ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data when you visit our website. We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Dutch law.

1. Who We Are

Motto Europa BV is the controller responsible for the personal data described in this Privacy Policy. We are registered in the Netherlands and have our registered office at Dr. Ir. Van Veenweg 35, 4612 PE Bergen op Zoom. You can contact us at info@mottoeuropa.com or +31 (0) 164-657920. KVK: 90562674. VAT: NL865363043B01.

2. What Data We Collect

When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, subject and message. We also process your IP address temporarily to prevent spam and enforce the contact form submission limit. The form is not intended for special categories of personal data, such as health information, and we ask you not to include such information. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

3. Why We Use Your Data and Our Legal Basis

We use contact-form data to respond to your enquiry and follow up where necessary. We use your IP address only for security, spam prevention and rate limiting. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business communications and protecting the website from abuse (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), or, where applicable, the performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). We do not use this data for automated decision-making or profiling.

4. How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Contact-form submissions are retained while we handle your enquiry and any reasonable follow-up, and longer only where required for legal, accounting or dispute-resolution purposes. IP address data used by the rate limiter is held temporarily in active server memory to enforce the submission window and is not included in the contact email. Google Analytics user-level and event-level data is retained for no longer than 14 months; aggregated reports may remain available for longer.

5. Sharing Your Data

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We use service providers only where needed to operate the website and handle communications, including Vercel for hosting and infrastructure, Resend for contact-form email delivery, and Google Ireland Limited for analytics after consent. Data may also be disclosed to professional advisers or competent authorities where required by law. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, transfers are protected through an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses or another safeguard permitted by applicable data-protection law.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

Our website uses a functional cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) to remember your language preference, and local storage (a browser technology similar to cookies) to remember your cookie-consent choice. We do not use advertising cookies or behavioural tracking cookies. With your explicit consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to collect visit statistics; by default no analytics data is collected. See sections 10 and 11 below for details.

7. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, restrict or object to certain processing, and receive your data in a portable format where applicable. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl. To exercise your rights, contact info@mottoeuropa.com.

8. Data Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page with an updated date at the top. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

10. Analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to collect statistics about page visits, user behaviour and traffic sources. Google Analytics uses the cookies "_ga" and "_ga_*" and processes a pseudonymous client identifier, approximate location derived from your IP address, and browser and device information. Google Ireland Limited provides this service. We do not use the data for advertising and no advertising tracking takes place. You can accept or decline analytics through the cookie banner and change your choice at any time through the cookie settings on this page. If you decline or withdraw consent, Analytics is not loaded on later page views and the Analytics cookies accessible to this website are removed.

11. Local Storage

We store your cookie-consent preference locally in your browser (not in a cookie) under the key "motto-consent". This is strictly necessary to remember your choice and is not shared with third parties.
